Gaudi

Inspiration & Design concept Gaudi’s love of Nature In praise of nature, this chair pays homage to the legendary Spanish architect, Antonio Gaudi, whose his marvelous designs derived from the study of nature’s organic engineering. With the same design ethos, Gaudi chair conceptualized the relationship between the inner structural membrane of a tree’s leaf and its outer organic edge line. The binary relation of those two substances always relies on each other to sustain the growth of the leaves and the entire tree. Metaphorically, without the tension relationship of the inner structural string lines and the outer metal frame, the chair would not be able to reinforce itself, especially when body weight is put on. Production & technology Guadi Chair celebrates the relationship of those two components; polyurethane elastic strings and a metal chair frame. By interweaving the inner structure with elastic strings from two different ends, the chair’s metal frame is reinforced with tension. When the body weight is put on the seat, enhancing the tension force, the chair becomes more stable.

Gaudi

Design Inspiration The Guadi chair was named after the study of the world’s renowned architect of Spain, Antonio Gaudi on his self-taught engineering study of La Sagrada Famiglia. The chair reflects the idea of Antonio Guadi on how he perceived through the systematic structure of nature’s organism.

Babushka

Babushka in russian means grandma. The chair was inspired and adapted by russian Babushka nestling doll although adapted to be practical for seating use. Babushka comes in different materials, mosiacs, upholstery and water-hyacinth finishings and can be used for both interiors and exteriors.

Safari stool collection

The rocking Safari stool collection is made and designed not only for kids but adults who plays young at heart. The structure of the stools are made from recycled materials; honeycomb paper and bagasse. The skin is covered with tiny braided water-hyacinth strings coiled to mock cute animal's characters.

Queen Sheba

Queen Sheba is made from organic sisal fiber which is traditionally used for rope and twine, and has many other uses, including paper, cloth, wall coverings, carpets, and dartboards. The chair was created by interwoven sisal fibers on the metal chair structure. The organic expression has created a vernacular impression where the name Queen Sheba was adopted.
